Impronta or unlisted YouTube
Most academies start here because it is free and works. The problem appears when the syllabus is worth money.
“Unlisted” is not “private”
An unlisted video does not appear in searches, and that is all. The link works for anyone who has it: no login, enrolment or payment required. A student pastes the URL into Telegram and the whole group has your class today and two years from now.
YouTube's private alternative shares access through Google accounts one by one. With hundreds of students entering and leaving each intake, that is a part-time administrative job.
If it leaks, you do not know who it came from
Every student sees exactly the same video. When it circulates, neither the video nor a per-student record identifies who took it, so there is no useful conversation or consequence. You can only change the link and hope.
With us, the class carries the viewer's name and ID and records who accessed every class. If something leaks, the answer has already been stored.

The cost not shown on the invoice
YouTube is free. The cost is that your syllabus lives under rules you do not control: a video may be removed after an automated music-rights claim, and the platform decides what students see when the class ends.
Impronta lets you store material in your own storage account, so you keep control and cancelling does not force a migration.
When to choose YouTube instead
- The video is promotion: a sample class or anything you want shared. Reach is the product there.
- The syllabus is free and there is nothing to protect.
- You are just starting and are not billing yet. Build the business first and return when the syllabus has value.
